Conifer Securities, the hedge fund trade execution arm of fund administration outsourcer The Conifer Group, has appointed research firm Elkins/McSherry, a wholly-owned subsidiary of global custodian bank State Street, to provide trade cost analysis for its clients.

As a result of the partnership with Elkins/McSherry, Conifer's customers will receive third-party evaluation of its trading services on a multi-manager basis. The research is designed to gauge the cost-effectiveness, level of compliance and value proposition of each trade.

“Conifer is dedicated to providing our clients with the best as well as the most reasonably priced trading services,” said Jack McDonald, CEO and president of Conifer Group. “This new partnership exemplifies our goal of maintaining Conifer's high standards while providing information to help reduce our clients' trading costs and increasing their bottom line.”

Elkins/McSherry analyses global equity, fixed income and derivatives trading, providing information on trading costs to determine cost-effectiveness and execution quality.
