Trading technology provider Fidessa has appointed David Polen as head of business development in the US. He will be responsible for Fidessa’s strategic development efforts in the region, reporting to Mark Ames, CEO of Fidessa’s US business.
Polen has been at Fidessa for 13 years, starting as a developer, moving on to product management and eventually running product marketing. In his most recent external position, Polen served as managing director at Lime Brokerage, where he oversaw the company’s high-frequency business line, sales and product management.
“With more than a decade of experience architecting technology systems for equity and options trading, Polen is well-suited to take on this new position,” said Ames. “In his prior role at Fidessa, he was instrumental in turning client feedback into innovative solutions that helped customers stay ahead of their competition.”
Meanwhile, Rule Financial, a provider of advisory, business consulting, IT and software services, has hired Pauline Parker to head up its application managed services (AMS) division. She will lead the AMS team that works to support clients’ vendor and proprietary systems.
Parker joins Rule Financial from core banking vendor Temenos, where she held a business consultant position. Prior to Temenos, she worked at financial technology firms Misys and SunGard, where she was heavily involved in evolving customer-centred product modelling.
Rule Financial provides business and IT services from its offices in the UK, USA, Canada, Spain and Poland.
