Former Bloomberg Tradebook FX veteran joins FlexTrade

Paul Beatty joins FlexTrade from FX ECN Spotex, after previously working at Bloomberg Tradebook FX for 17 years.

Execution management systems (EMS) provider FlexTrade has hired a former long-standing Bloomberg Tradebook executive to lead its business development for its foreign exchange platform.

Paul Beatty has been appointed director of FX business development at FlexTrade in New York, and joins the firm from FX technology and institutional electronic communications network (ECN) platform provider Spotex.

“With his solid background from the financial technology industry and 20 years of experience in the FX market, Paul will be a great added value to the global team,” said Manish Kedia, managing director at FlexTrade in Singapore. “This demonstrates our strong commitment to invest in our team and trading solutions, and constantly expand and have local presence in different parts of the world.” 

Prior to Spotex, Beatty previously worked as a director at TP ICAP, and also spent 17 years as global managing director of Tradebook FX at Bloomberg. At Bloomberg, he played a strategic role in launching the firm’s electronic anonymous FX trading platform.
