Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx) has appointed Roger Lee to head its new market operations group.
He was previously the head of structured products, fixed income and primary market information in HKEx’s listing and regulatory affairs division.
The market operations unit comprises of cash trading, derivatives trading and market data and forms part of HKEx’s global markets division. Lee will report to Romnesh Lamba, the co-head of global markets.
Lee joined HKEx in 1997 and has also served as head of information services, head of cash markets, co-head of information technology and head of listing operations.

HKEx also announced that Bryan Chan, co-head of equities, fixed income and currency in the global markets division will leave the firm in September. Chan has also resigned as chief executive of China Exchanges Services Company (CESC). His replacement will be Mao Zhirong, the current head of mainland development at CESC.
