HSBC strengthens Securities Services team in Asia

HSBC has appointed a new client services head to lead its Securities Services business in Singapore.

HSBC has appointed a new client services head to lead its Securities Services business in Singapore.

Dileep Venkatakrishnan, who previously spent 14 years at J.P. Morgan’s Treasury and Securities Services (TSS) business in India, will be responsible for client servicing across the bank’s Securities Services unit in Singapore.

His most recent role at J.P. Morgan was as head of client service and implementation within its TSS business.

In his new position, Venkatakrishnan will report to Tony Lewis, head of HSBC Securities Services in Singapore.

“Dileep’s extensive experience in custody and fund administration adds further weight to our Securities Services team in Singapore,” said Lewis. “Dileep will be responsible for driving our clients’ agenda within HSBC Securities Services in Singapore, ensuring that we are on top of the current and future needs of our clients and continue to develop our services to meet evolving needs and expectations.”

As of 30 June last year, HSBC’s Securities Services division US$5.8 trillion worth of assets under management globally and US$2.6 trillion assets under administration.
