Simon Dove has left his role as managing director, head of liquidity at Instinet, after more than five years at the firm.
London-based Dove joined Instinet in 2021, bringing more than two decades of industry experience to his role at the agency-model broker.
Dove is currently on gardening leave, and his next role is unknown. Instinet confirmed the departure when contacted by The TRADE.
In an announcement on LinkedIn, Dove said: “Many thanks to my wonderful friends and colleagues at Instinet, and I wish you continued success. I am eternally grateful [..] I’ll be back.”
Over the course of his career, Dove has been a key industry figure, speaking on various industry events and conferences on differing topics, including The TRADE’s annual Rising Stars of Trading and Execution Awards.

Prior to his time at Instinet, Dove served in various liquidity-based roles, including four years working across liquidity management at Tower Research Capital Europe, and almost seven years at Sun Trading International in a position covering European business development.
Earlier in his career, Dove held an extensive tenure at the London Stock Exchange, serving in various roles for almost nine years.
Specifically, he served in sectors spanning institutional brokerage, business development, liquidity provision, equities and derivatives.
