JonesTrading unveils corporate outreach service

Execution-only broker JonesTrading has hired industry veteran Vince Conrad to spearhead the firm’s PrimaryAccess corporate management contact service for institutional investors.

The firm has designed the new service with small- and mid-cap companies in mind, JonesTrading said.

Via the service, institutional investors can access numerous corporate events, including one-on-one meetings, conference calls, non-deal road shows, field trips, panel discussions and industry-focused conferences. JonesTrading will also provide post-event notes to its PrimaryAccess clients as well as providing companies with pre-marketing that targets the appropriate investors.

“Reliable and unconflicted information, especially in small- and mid-cap companies is difficult to get and coverage is not a priority for large shops,” said Packy Jones, chairman of JonesTrading. “PrimaryAccess will give institutional investors the neutral and unconflicted information they need to make appropriate investment decisions given their strategies.”

Prior to joining JonesTrading, Conrad was at BTIG, where he launched the institutional brokerage’s corporate access effort. Before that, Conrad was a senior vice president at Credit Suisse’s institutional markets business. While there, he developed institutional client relationships across North America, Europe and South Africa.
