Strategic Insights’ LiquidMetrix has partnered up with Dow Jones to launch an enhanced surveillance tool to detect market abuse.
LiquidMetrix – a transaction cost analysis and surveillance business - will use news produced by Dow Jones to provide effective market abuse detection monitoring.
Industry demand for market abuse tools has increased in light of recent European regulation on market abuse MAR, which came into force on 3 July this year.
Sabine Toulson, managing director of LiquidMetrix at Strategic Insight, said the partnership will give the company access to global news events.
“This new data provides a great addition to our existing surveillance service offering global coverage in market abuse detection in financial markets in an affordable, user centric service,” she said.
General manager of Newswires at Dow Jones, Joe Cappitelli, added that its news service is a “timely and important service given that clients’ need for market surveillance is increasing.”
