Liquidnet names new DACH head of equity distribution

Incoming distribution head has previously served in equities focused roles across Credit Suisse, Deka Investments, Oddo BHF and Stifel.

Liquidnet has appointed a new head of equity distribution for German speaking countries, The TRADE can reveal.

Miriam Köstel joins Liquidnet as DACH head of equity distribution, responsible for leading the development of the firm’s block and broader execution businesses.

She joins after previously serving in equities focused roles across Credit Suisse, Deka Investments, Oddo BHF and Stifel.

“As we continue to expand our footprint in Continental Europe with local teams in key European hubs, we’re excited to welcome Miriam as head of equity distribution for German-speaking countries,” Chris Jackson, global head of equity strategy and head of EMEA equities, told The TRADE.

“Her wealth of knowledge and experience will play a key role in our ability to grow our member community in the country and continue to deepen our liquidity proposition for all members.”

The appointment comes as part of a wave of people moves at Liquidnet following its acquisition by TP ICAP in March last year.

Among the arrivals and departures was the firm’s global head of equities, Rob Laible, who left after eight years. He is currently on gardening leave and his next role is yet to be announced.
