The new offering is expected to bolster resilience and performance across various LSEG data and analytics and markets platforms by supporting workloads which currently operate outside of the firm’s existing public cloud environments.

Irfan Hussain, chief information officer at LSEG, said: “Optimising our on-premises and public cloud estate is vital in ensuring we continue to serve our customers with best-in-class services. Working with Dell Technologies enhances the flexibility and resilience of our systems, enabling us to continue delivering high-performance services for the financial markets.”

Through the partnership, Dell Technologies will provide servers, storage and automation software to create a unified infrastructure, which will support the design and build of the private cloud platform.

“The financial services sector demands infrastructure that maintains continuous availability while meeting strict security and regulatory requirements,” said Doug Schmitt, chief information officer and president of Dell Technologies Services, Dell Technologies.

“Our integrated infrastructure and automation capabilities give LSEG the operational resilience and flexibility to run their most demanding workloads while maintaining full control of their environment.”

Specifically, the move marks an expansion of LSEG’s multi-cloud strategy, and is expected to complement the firm’s existing public cloud partnerships with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and OVHcloud.

The firm launched a ‘landmark’ 10-year cloud partnership with Microsoft in December 2022, which will see the firm spend a minimum of £2.3 bullion on upgrades.

Through the integration, the exchange group’s data platform and other key technology infrastructure migrates to Microsoft Azure.

Similarly, LSEG and AWS launched their ongoing collaboration in 2017, beginning with some workloads migrated to the provider’s cloud, before the two firm’s expanded their relationship in April 2025

The enhancement saw LSEG naming AWS as its preferred cloud provider for its markets, risk intelligence and FTSE Russell divisions, migrating its internal systems to the cloud.

Elsewhere, LSEG and OVHcloud’s collaboration was unveiled in November 2025, and sees the two firms integrating to launch a cloud hosting agreement for LSEG’s clearing house, LCH SA, with the aim of enhancing operational resilience, security and scalability.
