Mizuho International has named a new head of fixed income who joins the bank after 24 years with Credit Suisse.
Zahra Peerbhoy will be responsible for Mizuho’s international fixed income sales and trading, structured solutions and derivatives.
She will work closely with the corporate and investment banking businesses globally in a bit to improve client relationships and expand the bank’s fixed income services and products.
Mizuho added her role will also cover its electronic trading platforms, to help build profile and access across an even wider investor base.
Peerbhoy worked most recently as a managing director within the global markets business. She served on several committees during her time at Credit Suisse, including on the EMEA fixed income operating committee and the fixed income human capital committee.
Michiel de Jong, president and CEO at Mizuho International, commented: “Peerbhoy has an in-depth understanding of financial markets and strong experience in driving top-line revenue growth, whilst most importantly ensuring we meet the requirements of our clients.”
She will act in the capacity of a senior managing director at Mizuho and will report directly to Jong.
