Morgan Stanley has expanded its global technology operations with the opening of a new centre in Montreal.

The centre has been established to support the firm’s business in New York, initially for six technology areas. These include, fixed income, securities processing and settlements, investment management, enterprise data infrastructure, enterprise application infrastructure, and corporate technology and finance.

Development and implementation of a pilot centre was done with Compuware, and based on the success of the pilot Morgan Stanley is establishing a permanent centre.

The Montreal centre will join Morgan Stanley’s current network of technology and business services across global sites which include Budapest, Glasgow, India and Shanghai.
