In his new position, London-based Kohli will assume leadership of sales and trading in EMEA for MUFG Securities EMEA (MUSE), where he will oversee strategy, risk management and coordination across global markets sales and trading teams in the region.

He will also report to Nobu Nanjo, chief executive of MUSE, and Mike Yarian, head of global markets sales and trading (ex-Japan).

“His deep understanding of our international business, together with the strong relationships across the global organisation, will be instrumental in bringing together the strengths of our combined global markets franchise and supporting its continued growth in EMEA,” added Yarian.

Kohli’s appointment succeeds Richard Smithyes, who left the firm in September 2026 following almost 20 years at MUFG.
