Nasdaq OMX Nordic is expanding its Norwegian offering by letting its members trade all shares listed on Oslo Børs on Nasdaq OMX Stockholm.

The exchange now offers trading in all Norwegian shares on one platform.

Subject to regulatory approval, by September Nasdaq OMX Stockholm is planning to introduce a new routing strategy providing access to Oslo Børs opening and closing auctions, as well as letting members post orders on Oslo Børs.

“As the leading operator of the market for equity trading in the Nordics, we want to offer trading on all Nordic shares. Now, our members can trade all shares listed on all Nordic exchanges through one access point,” said Bjørn Sibbern, senior vice president, equities market, Nasdaq OMX Nordic. “That makes it easier, cheaper and more efficient for them. Routing service helps our members to discover better prices as well as to strengthen their own business opportunities in a trading environment where technology and connectivity is key.
