Credit Suisse has appointed a new head of equities for their asset management division, to replace outgoing head, Kim Goodwin.

Cesar Perez has assumed the role, in addition to his position as head of European equities and will report to Credit Suisse’s head of asset management, EMEA, Gary Withers.

Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2007 Perez was at M&G Investments, where he was credited with turning around their European equity franchise. For the first nine years of his career, he was at JP Morgan Asset Management, initially focusing on Spanish equities before broadening his mandate to cover all of Europe.

Commenting on the appointment, Withers said: “Kim came here to build a first class team. She has done that. The next stage in the development of our equities business is being taken forward by the fund managers she was involved in recruiting. There has been a very smooth internal transition period with Kim, Cesar and myself over recent months.”
