Newedge loses senior algo trader

Evan Graj, managing director of cross-asset algorithmic trading in the advanced trading solutions division of broker Newedge Group in London, has left the company, theTRADEnews.com has learned.

It is not yet clear where Graj has gone or who will replace him at Newedge. The company was not available for comment.

Graj joined Newedge from Bear Stearns International in September 2008. He was managing director and European head of Bear Stearns’ execution services team between September 2001 and August 2006, and managing director of algorithmic trading from August 2006 until his departure to Newedge.

Newedge was formed on 2 January 2008 as an equal joint venture between French banks Société Générale and Calyon. It combines the global brokerages of Calyon and Fimat, a SocGen subsidiary.
