Derivatives trading technology specialist Orc has signed a deal with a Chinese brokerage to provide its clients with access to China’s markets.

An agreement with Galaxy Futures Co, which is backed by investors including the Royal Bank of Scotland, means ORC can offer trading in ETF options on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Clients will also be able to access the China Financial Futures Exchange to trade the CSI300 index futures.

“By leveraging Orc’s expertise and investing in our electronic execution solution, Galaxy Futures Co. will now be able to facilitate extremely efficient and reliable access to the Chinese markets especially to the honorable Orc users,” said Aleck Wu, managing director of Galaxy Futures Co.

“We would like to welcome more international Orc users to trade futures and options via Galaxy Futures Co. and would be pleased to offer additional services including administration, legal and clearing in order to help them establish access to the Chinese markets.”
