People Moves Monday: Millennium Advisors, Morgan Stanley and Impax Asset Management

The past week saw appointments across credit trading, fixed income and equities.

Fixed income broker-dealer Millennium Advisors appointed Dylan Blair managing director and global head of US dollar credit trading. Charlotte-based Blair was most recently managing director – head of US investment grade credit trading at BNP Paribas in New York, and before that worked as an executive director and director at Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch, respectively. In this new role, he will be responsible for coordinating and managing the business’ global credit trading teams across a range of markets. Blair, who has 20 years of experience in the industry, will assist with leveraging Millennium’s existing capabilities to access new trading opportunities.

Morgan Stanley appointed Daniel Wheeler as executive director institutional equities – derivatives. Wheeler joined the firm from Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking (SGCIB), where he spent the last three years as head of equities and equity derivatives for Australia. Prior to that, Wheeler served as director of global equity derivatives at Societe Generale for two years. Elsewhere in his career, Wheeler held equity derivatives-related roles at UBS, Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan.

Imapx Asset Management appointed Ross Pamphilon as its new head of fixed income. According to a social media update, Pamphilon joined Imapax from Wells Fargo Asset Management, where he spent the last four and a half years as head of fixed income for the EMEA region. Prior to that, Pamphilon spent two decades years as chief investment officer at ECM Asset Management. Before joining ECM, he spent years at Merrill Lynch in local currency trading position. Elsewhere in his career, Pamphilon spent four years as an assistant manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
