Ninety One
Ninety One has promoted Saskia McMinn as a fixed income trader, expanding its fixed income trading desk.
The firm took home the Buy-Side Award for Fixed Income Trading Desk of the Year at the most recent The TRADE’s Leaders in Trading awards ceremony, in 2025.
In her new role, McMinn will report to Cathy Gibson, global head of trading at Ninety One. London-based McMinn initially joined the investment manager in September 2022 as an investment compliance associate.
She later moved up the ranks to portfolio implementation analyst in May 2024, where she assumed responsibility for supporting trade structuring and managing day-to-day fund transactions.
Prior to this, she has also served at accountancy firms Hill Vellacott and BDO UK.
Optiver
Lawrence Tanzman has joined Optiver as a quantitative trader after a 14-year stint at Citadel Securities.
Tanzman will be based out of Chicago in his new role at the electronic market maker.
Most recently, he served as a trader at Citadel Securities, working across market making and equity options.
He began his industry career at Allstate Insurance, in a role covering fixed income research.
ESMA
Vincent Grandjean has been appointed to the consultative working group of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) Secondary Markets Working Group, under its Markets Standing Committee.
The group provides advice on secondary market structure, transparency and efficiency across EU financial instruments, including developments related to the Mifid II/Mifir framework.
Grandjean is founder and chief executive of Propellant. Digital and also serves as FICC committee co-chair at the FIX Trading Community.
He previously spent more than eight years at Banco Santander as executive director, fixed income e-commerce product manager, and also held the same role at Société Générale prior to that.
Earlier in his career, Grandjean held positions including vice president, global rates IT e-commerce manager at Citi; associate director, direct link manager at UBS; and senior consultant at PWS.
