Aite Group, a US-headquartered research and advisory firm specialising in financial services, has appointed its first Europe-based analyst.
Simmy Grewal joins as a senior analyst in the firm’s institutional securities and investments practice. Grewal will work from London, where she was previously employed by Morgan Stanley in the emerging market cash trading, mid-cap cash trading, single name options trading and sales, and marketing for electronic trading teams.
Aite has also added another senior analyst, Fritz McCormick, to its firm’s institutional securities and investments practice. McCormick, formerly director of new initiatives at post-trade technology provider Omgeo, will focus on information management, data provider offerings and post-trade operations across asset classes.
“While many firms have been forced to downsize, Aite Group has continued its growth over the past 12 months by launching new coverage areas, broadening its existing coverage and starting its European operations,” said managing director Sang Lee in a statement.
