Saxo Bank hires Barclays EMEA cash execution sales head

Eric Krueger joins Saxo Bank as global head of client services in newly created role.

Saxo Bank has hired Barclays’ managing director and cash execution sales head for the EMEA region for a newly-created role.

Eric Krueger will assume the position of global head of client services at Saxo Bank, overseeing the bank’s global client services organisation and managing and developing its client relationships.

The nine-year Barclays veteran has more than 20 years’ experience in program trading, electronic trading and sales trading, having also worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for 11 years focusing on program trading and electronic trading.

Krueger will report to Saxo Bank’s chief client officer, Damian Bunce, who commented that coupling products and platforms with ‘world class service’ has been the hallmark at the company.

“We want to further strengthen the service we offer to clients and deploy the next generation of tools,” Bunce said. “The new global head of client services role is key to drive Saxo’s client-centric strategy, value proposition and reflect the needs of our customers.

“As a result of 20 years of leading client focused businesses, [Kruger] has developed an extensive understanding of client service, experience and knowledge in the field and I am confident that he will add real value to our clients.”
