Sophis UK hires head of investment banking sales

Sophis, a provider of portfolio management solutions, has appointed Olav Bridié as its new head of sales for investment banking in the UK, Ireland, Nordics and South Africa.

Sophis, a provider of portfolio management solutions, has appointed Olav Bridié as its new head of sales for investment banking in the UK, Ireland, Nordics and South Africa. Bridié will be based in London, and will be responsible for driving new business and managing client relationships. He will report to Sebastien Roussotte, chief operating officer for Sophis UK, Ireland, Nordics and South Africa.

Bridié joins Sophis from Reuters where he has worked for 13 years in various international roles. Most recently he was responsible for Reuters trade and risk management business in the UK and Ireland.

“Our market share in the region is already impressive especially in the equity derivatives space. The appointment of Olav will help Sophis to further consolidate this and enable us to develop our reach into equity finance, commodities, structured instruments and new territories,” said Roussotte in a statement.
