Graham Duce to run multi-manager platform at CSAM

Credit Suisse has appointed Graham Duce as Head of Credit Suisse Asset Management's UK Multi-Manager Platform (MMP). Duce was previously responsible for developing Credit Suisse Asset Management's Multi Asset Class Solutions (MACS) relationship with the private banking arm of the giant Swiss bank across the UK.

Professor Dr. Joerg Franke appointed to FIA Hall of Fame

The Futures Industry Association (FIA) has elected Professor Dr. Joerg Franke into the "Futures Hall of Fame" for his outstanding contribution to the worldwide futures trading community. FIA, with its more than 250 members, is the national trade organisation for the futures industry and reaches market participants all around the world. Inaugurated in 2005 as part of the FIA's 50th anniversary, the "Futures Hall of Fame" honours outstanding industry leaders.

Stephen Wontner appointed head of sales for ConvergEx Global Markets

BNY ConvergEx Group, a provider of agency brokerage and investment technology solutions, has appointed Stephen Wontner as head of sales for ConvergEx Global Markets (formerly known as G-Port). Stephen, who is based in London, will be responsible for sales of global agency brokerage services to the institutional investment community in Europe. He will report to Anthony Blumberg, President of ConvergEx Global Markets, who is based in New York.

Chi-X names new CTO

Instinet Chi-X Limited, a pan-European equity alternative trading system (ATS), yesterday named Michael Bundy chief technology officer (CTO). He joins Chi-X from Nomura subsidiary Instinet, which owns Chi-X.

Michael Frank succeeds Jan de Groot as Telekurs chief in the Netherlands

Michael Frank is to head Telekurs (Nederland) BV from 1 April 2007. He will continue as Managing Director of Telekurs (Deutschland) GmbH and of the Austrian branch office in Vienna. Michael Frank takes over from Jan de Groot, who is retiring on 31 March 2007. Jan de Groot has worked at Telekurs (Nederland) BV for 20 years. From the late 1980s, he was instrumental in establishing and developing this branch, and has been its Managing Director for more than half of the past two decades.

Martin Fisch to head syndication of equity risk at Deutsche Bank

Deutsche Bank has appointed Martin Fisch, Managing Director, to Head of Complex Risk Syndication within the Global Markets division. Fisch will report to Serge Marquie, Managing Director and Head of Equity Structuring, and will continue to be based in London. In his new role, Fisch will lead a globally co-ordinated function within Deutsche Bank to syndicate complex equity risk. Fisch, who has been with Deutsche Bank since 1997, is also Head of Equity-Linked Capital Markets for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Duncan Niederauer quits Goldman Sachs to become COO at NYSE

Duncan L. Niederauer, a managing director at Goldman Sachs, has left the firm after 22 years to become president and co-chief operating officer of NYSE Group from 9 April. He joins former colleague at Goldman Sachs, John A. Thain, who was president and COO of the investment bank before becoming CEO of the New York Stock Exchange in January 2004.

Jeff Dorman leaves Bear Stearns to head North American prime brokerage at Deutsche Bank

Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. in New York says Jeff Dorman has joined the firm as a Managing Director and Head of Global Prime Finance in North America in the Global Markets equities business. Dorman will lead Deutsche Bank's Global Prime Finance business in North America. Based in New York, he will report to Jonathan Hitchon and Barry Bausano, Co-Heads of Global Prime Finance and Robert Karofksy, Head of Global Markets Equity in North America.
