Trading technology provider TORA is looking to expand its Southeast Asia footprint with the hiring of a new head of sales.
Momoko Itoh will be based out of the firm’s Singapore office, reporting to Asia Pacific managing director Chris Jenkins.
As part of her bid to increase TORA’s customer base in Singapore and the Southeast, Itoh will focus on TORA Compass, the provider’s advanced execution and order management system for buy-side institutions.
She joins TORA from Goldman Sachs in Tokyo where she was for more than 11 years, predominantly in Japan.
“Singapore is an important hedge fund centre in Asia for onshore and offshore funds, including a significant number of Japanese offshore funds. Momoko’s experience in Japan and her wealth of knowledge in fund management will both benefit TORA’s client base and help drive the growth of the company in the region,” says Jenkins.
