Investment firm and brokerage TradeStation Europe has expanded its current options offering, introducing a series of enhancements including extended hours trading as the firm looks to broaden access to the market.
Through the enhancement, clients are now able to trade eligible equity options during a pre-market session which spans 7.30am to 9.25am ET, as well as an extended curb session which runs from 4pm to 4.15pm ET.
Specifically, the inclusion of additional trading windows aims to provide traders with more flexibility to respond to market shifts, economic data releases, geopolitical developments and events which may influence market conditions outside of regular trading sessions.
The expansion also comes days after Cboe went live with extended trading hours for options on 24 individual stocks and five ETFs, underlining the growing institutional demand for out-of-hours trading access across options markets.
Peter Comstock, president of TradeStation Europe, commented: “We moved quickly to bring extended-hours options trading to clients once Cboe made it available. Traders in Europe deserve the most comprehensive access to US markets and our clients now have more flexibility to respond, manage risk and trade earlier in their day.
“This continues TradeStation Europe’s mission of being the ideal gateway to US listed markets for European institutions and sophisticated traders.”
The expanded options suite also includes further updates, such as new single stock option spreads, reduced options and equities pricing and expanded intraday trading capabilities across equities, options and futures for traders in the Netherlands and the European Economic Area (EEA).
