TT to offer GMEX access at launch

Trading on swap futures exchange Global Market Exchange is to be offered through Trading Technologies’ X_Trader platform from its first day of trading.

Trading on swap futures exchange Global Market Exchange (GMEX) is to be offered through Trading Technologies’ X_Trader platform from its first day of trading.

The new exchange, founded by former Chi-X executive Hirander Misra and due to launch in Q3 2015, plans to offer a form of listed swap product called an interest rate swap constant maturity future.

Trading Technologies customers will be able to enter orders and manage trades on GMEX at launch, will a full suite of X_Trader tools including its Autospreader, Autotrader and ADL visual programming platform for algorithms.

"We recognise Trading Technologies as a key liquidity facilitator for global futures trading and we are excited they have extended their network of exchanges to include GMEX Exchange for their clients from our launch,” said Misra.

Access is available via FIX and Trading Technologies’ proprietary API and access to GMEX liquidity will be available through its TTNET hosting solution.

GMEX also announced it will be supported at launch by proprietary trading firm, Financial Markets Engineering (FME), in order to provide liquidity to the platform.
