US consultancy Woodbine Associates has hired Michael Kurzrok as an equity market analyst.
Kurzrok, who will report to Woodbine principal Matt Samelson, will focus on issues relating to strategy, regulation, market structure and technology in the global equity markets. He will also provide strategic advisory services to Woodbine's clients.
Kurzrok, who began his career in Japan, previously worked for nine years at Caxton Associates, a global macro hedge fund. At Caxton, Kurzok developed the firm's statistical arbitrage desk, which included evaluating desk-oriented issues such as workflow, infrastructure, transaction cost analysis and the impact of regulatory changes on trading.
