Zealous Trading Group has launched a new version of the Zealous alternative trading system (ZATS), which is designed to trade restricted stocks and illiquid securities. The platform also offers proprietary research from its FlashPoint research portal.

Zealous hopes the platform will facilitate trading of restricted stock, warrants and block trades of illiquid OTC equities.

The trading platform will retain some of the previous features from Zealous ATS version 1.0, but will add several new ones. These include a centralised electronic issuance platform for private placements such as PIPES (private investment in public equity), APOs (alternative public offerings) and IPLs (initial private listings); a customised view of trading opportunities and portfolios in a centralised location; a transparent securities order book; a discreet IOI-negotiated securities order book; and the ability to monitor trade settlement status online.

Milton Ault, president and CEO of Zealous, said in a statement that the company would be adding new products and trading functionality to the platform over the next few months.
