Clear Street has named Mark Daniels as its new head of platform sales, based out of New York.
Daniels has more than 20 years of experience across the industry and joins the US broker from Marex, where he most recently served as head of prime clearing.
Daniels confirmed his new role in an announcement on social media.
Prior to this, he worked as a managing director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and as global head of sales for UBS’ execution and clearing business before that, working across areas including electronic execution, OTC clearing and FX prime brokerage.
Daniels has also held senior positions at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.
Daniels’ appointment follows further hires into Clear Street’s senior leadership team in recent months, with Chris Tufano joining the firm in July as head of clearing, after an almost nine-year tenure at Bank of America.
Similarly, in May the firm announced that it had launched a new outsourced trading platform, and brought in former UBS outsourced trading expert Morgan Ralph to lead the initiative after UBS’ shock departure from the sector in March.
Clear Street had not responded to a request for comment at the time of publication.
