Man Group has appointed Francesca Alesi as an alpha capture specialist, based in London.
Alesi joins the investment management giant after two years at Janus Henderson, where she served as a junior equity trader.
During her tenure at Janus Henderson, she was named one of The TRADE’s Rising Stars of Trading and Execution in 2025, an award which celebrates promising talent on the buy-side.
Prior to this, Alesi spent two years at GSA Capital, having initially joined as an analyst, specialising in alpha capture across equities, derivatives, high and low touch trading.
She later stepped up as an execution trader at the firm in 2023.

Man Group had not responded to a request for comment at the time of publication.
Alesi’s appointment marks the latest hire for Man Group, and in October, Michael Lam joined the firm as a senior trader.
He most recently spent two years at TT International, where he also served in the same position.
