ABN AMRO Clearing enables client access to Bruce Markets amid increasing demand for 24/5 trading

The integration is set to boost ABN AMRO Clearing’s current client offering for around-the-clock trading and follows increasing momentum from global firms and exchanges to shift to 24/5 models.

ABN AMRO Clearing USA has expanded its 24/5 US equity offering to include client access to Bruce Markets.

Currently, Bruce Markets operates overnight US equities trading venue Bruce ATS, and which runs its trading session from 8pm to 4pm ET, Sunday through Friday.

The integration is expected to enhance ABN AMRO’s ability to support around-the-clock trading and provide the firm’s global client base with tools to overcome liquidity access challenges in these markets.

Commenting on the expanded offering, Ronald Breault, chief commercial officer of ABN AMRO Clearing USA, described the expansion as a “major milestone” which will “support [ABN AMRO Clearing’s] client’s strategic development and elevate the client experience.”

The move also comes amid increasing investor demand for uninterrupted market access and clearing services across global time zones, as 24/5 and 24/7 markets become an increasingly established sector of the industry.

“As global demand for overnight access to US equities continues to grow, market participants increasingly need trusted, institutional-grade infrastructure across the entire trading lifecycle,” said Jason Wallach, chief executive of Bruce Markets.

“By expanding connectivity to Bruce ATS, ABN AMRO Clearing is helping its clients access overnight liquidity with the operational strength and reliability required to participate confidently across global time zones.”

ABN AMRO Clearing’s connection with Bruce Markets is the latest development surrounding 24/5 markets, with several firms and exchanges across the world jumping on the bandwagon over the last few months.

Notably, in July 2026, the London Stock Exchange announced that it would launch a new 24/5 trading venue – LSE 24 – to enable digital, algorithmic and agentic trading from 5pm to 7.50am UK time, Monday to Friday.

Similarly, earlier this year in June, the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation’s (DTCC) subsidiary, the National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) went live with its extended 24/5 clearing hours model.

The move supports overnight trading activity for US equities and will span a clearing schedule running from 8pm ET on Sunday to 8pm ET on Friday.
