Railpen trader joins Fulcrum Asset Management in execution role

London-based hire brings almost a decade of industry experience to his new role; previously named one of The TRADE’s Rising Stars of Trading and Execution in 2025.

Fulcrum Asset Management has appointed Alex Hang as an execution trader, following a five-year tenure at Railpen.

Hang joins the London-based asset manager after most recently serving as a trader at Railpen, a role he held since 2021. There, his coverage spanned global equities, derivatives, FX and UK government bonds.

Fulcrum Asset Management confirmed the appointment when contacted by The TRADE.

Before Railpen, Hang spent more than three years at JP Morgan, joining as an analyst in 2018 before later being promoted to associate in 2020.

As an associate, he worked as an equity derivatives trading assistant within EMEA EDG, on the flow and convertible bonds trading desk.

Hang was also named one of The TRADE’s prestigious Rising Stars of Trading and Execution in 2025, an award which celebrates up-and-coming talent on the buy-side.
