Alantra Equities – Alantra’s equity research and sales, trading, and equity capital market (ECM) business – has become a new market member on Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME), set to operate directly in the equity market on the stock exchange.

Alantra, covers more than 70 listed companies across Spain and Portugal and provides comprehensive research, sales, and execution services to domestic and international institutional investors.
Through this most recent move, the Spanish broker will also provide liquidity contracts to corporates as in the growth market, BME Growth.
“This membership strengthens our platform by adding liquidity contracts to our existing capabilities, and consolidates our position as a trusted partner in Iberian capital markets, enabling us to build bridges between issuers and investors,” enthused Pedro Garnica, managing partner and co-chief executive of Alantra Equities.
Alantra was formerly known as N+1 Equities, having come under the same umbrella alongside C.W. Downer & Co., Swiss Capital, Daruma, and Dinamia in 2016.
The decision came as the partners looked to become a truly global financial services institution specialised in the mid-market segment – at the time the new brand consisted of over 345 professionals in 19 countries.
Speaking to its latest move, Juan Flames, chief executive of BME, said: “The growth of the family of participants in financial markets is always positive for our goal of strengthening capital markets in Spain. At BME, we continue working to provide companies and investors with a safe and efficient environment.”
