In future, the firms plan to extend their partnership to cover other Russian markets, including currency.
Russia-focused broker BCS Financial Group has teamed up with derivatives technology specialist Orc to enable its clients to trade on Russian markets.
Users of Orc’s platforms will be able to send equity and derivatives flow via BCS to gain access to Russian securities on both Moscow Exchange and the London Stock Exchange.
The deal targets investors with no Russian presence, who are excluded from trading on the Moscow Exchange.
Audrey Faveeuw, director of international prime brokerage sales at BCS said:
“International investors increasingly want access to the Russian markets and expect the highest standard of trading infrastructure. This partnership with Orc is ideal for our clients as it includes BCS’s Russian deep market knowledge and Orc’s leading trading technology and electronic execution solutions.”
