A former Berenberg Capital Markets algorithmic trader has departed to join Kepler Cheuvreux.
Marc Castagnera has joined Kepler in its electronic distribution team as an electronic sales trader based in New York. In his new role, Kepler confirmed he will work “at the intersection of both client and execution development” in line with its strategy of growing its execution footprint and expertise.
He joins after most recently serving in a trading and operations role at Berenberg Capital Markets for the last three years. Previously in his career he also served for five years at Berenberg in a middle office equities role and later a role in trading operations.
Before joining Berenberg in 2014, Castagnera spent three years at SSW-Trading as a trader and four and a half years as a transfer agent at European Fund Services.
“Marc is joining a team that is present in 13 major financial centres in Europe and the US: Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Geneva, London, Madrid, Milan, New York, Oslo, Paris, Stockholm, Vienna, and Zurich,” said Kepler in a statement.
