Erik Jens appointed CEO of Fortis Prime Fund Solutions

Erik Jens, currently Business Operating Officer within the Commercial and Private Banking division of Fortis Bank, has been appointed CEO of Fortis Prime Fund Solutions. Prime Fund Solutions is part of the Fortis Merchant and Private Banking division (CFC) which brings together Fortis’s Brokerage, Clearing, Custody and Prime Fund Solutions entities, including the financing and administration services supplied to hedge funds.

Erik Jens, currently Business Operating Officer within the Commercial and Private Banking division of Fortis Bank, has been appointed CEO of Fortis Prime Fund Solutions.

Prime Fund Solutions is part of the Fortis Merchant and Private Banking division (CFC) which brings together Fortis’s Brokerage, Clearing, Custody and Prime Fund Solutions entities, including the financing and administration services supplied to hedge funds.

He succeeds Alex Elfers in the job. Elfers

becomes CEO of Strategy, Risk Management and Business Development, which is currently vacant.

Erik Jens joined Fortis in 1990

via Pierson Heldring & Pierson, and has worked in private wealth management at the bank most of the time since. He was a member of the MeesPierson Private Banking Management Board until 2005, with responsibility for Investments.

In his position as BOO and member of the Management Board of Commercial and Private Banking, he has been responsible for Human Resources, Information Systems and Operations.

In his new role Erik Jens will report directly to Frans Demmenie, CEO of CFC and member of the Merchant and Private Banking Board.
