ICE taps JP Morgan for US clearing role

Hester Serafini joins ICE as chief operating officer of ICE Clear US, nine months after she left the US investment bank.

ICE has hired JP Morgan’s former European swaps clearing head to help lead its US clearing house.

Hester Serafini joins ICE as chief operating officer of ICE Clear US, nine months after she left the US investment bank.

Serafini previously serves as EMEA head of OTC clearing and intermediation business for credit, FX and rates derivatives. She also served a number of senior roles within the prime brokerage unit of Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs.

In addition, ICE has also promoted David Farrell, senior director for global soft commodity operations, to COO of ICE Futures US.
