Liquidnet has enhanced its liquidity and execution offering for institutional investors trading Brazilian and Mexican equities, as the firm continually expands its Latin American footprint.

The expansion will allow Liquidnet members to source institutional sized block liquidity while also leveraging algorithmic strategies within the broader equities marketplace.
The move is set to provide institutional investors with a more integrated approach to Brazilian and Mexican equities trading, to enable discreet and efficient liquidity seeking without losing reach or control in the process.
“Our expanded capabilities allow members to access block liquidity, customised region-focused algorithms for Brazil and Mexico, and access to our Americas high touch trading desk for trading across the region – all within a non-conflictive agency framework,” said Eric Blake, head of Latin America at Liquidnet.

Currently, Liquidnet’s equities offering in both Brazil and Mexico incorporates block execution functionality, algorithmic capabilities and high touch trading services.
The platform is specifically designed for global asset managers looking for scalable execution in emerging and developed markets and supports institutional investors in maintaining anonymity and minimising market impact while executing.
“As global investors continue to look to Latin America for diversification and growth, our focus remains on delivering trusted access to liquidity through a model built on alignment with our members,” said Alan Polo, co-head of equities sales and trading, Americas at Liquidnet.
“This expansion reinforces Liquidnet’s commitment to providing seamless, institutional grade execution wherever our clients trade.”
Global and regional expansion has been a core focus for Liquidnet in recent years, and in September 2025, the firm launched a new trading solution to enable buy-side traders in Europe to access bilateral liquidity more effectively.
The launch included mid-price and touch executions, anonymous access to aggregated liquidity streams – with configurability for tiered and member-specific feeds, execution consulting services, and monitoring and analytics – to track fill rates, information leakage and venue provider performance.
