Millennium poaches former Goldman EMEA execution lead for head of trading

Departing executive has been with the bank for the last 14 years; replaces Tom Ungi who is set to retire later this year.

Hedge fund Millennium has poached Goldman Sachs’ head of execution services for EMEA to become its next head of trading, The TRADE can reveal.

Danny Mallinson has been tapped to replace retiring head of trading at Millennium, Tom Ungi, after spending the last 14 years at Goldman as its head of execution services for EMEA.

Ungi had been serving as the hedge fund’s head of execution services for EMEA since 2013, originally joining the firm in 2006 as its head of trading.

Millennium declined to comment on the appointment. Goldman Sachs had not responded to a request for comment at the time of publishing.
