The new tool forms part of a broader effort between both firms to deploy advanced Anthropic models across Millennium’s risk management teams.
Specifically, the digital risk analyst is designed to enhance the assessment of risk positions and incorporate new reasoning capabilities to support teams in explaining daily risk changes.
Vlad Torgovnik, chief information officer at Millennium, said: “At Millennium, we believe AI can help set a new bar for what our people can achieve. Our work with Anthropic is a great example of this and shows how AI is driving innovation in core parts of our business while keeping human judgment at the centre of decision-making.”
Moreover, the tool will also aid the interrogation of data and complement human capabilities by providing opinions on risk exposure and retaining and recalling information across interactions.

The expansion will also make use of Millennium’s internal AI lab and integrates the buy-side firm’s investment expertise and risk management framework with Anthropic’s AI development capabilities.
Similarly, Millennium has confirmed that it will test Anthropic’s latest frontier models against some of the firm’s more sophisticated work as part of the partnership.
“Claude can reason through risk positions, explain daily changes, and carry what it learned into the next question,” said Peter Nolan, head of asset and wealth management at Anthropic.
“Millennium’s risk managers will use frontier intelligence to deliver automated recommendations with the goal of saving valuable time.”
