Pictet deploys Commcise’s MiFID II research payment tool

Pictet Asset Management is the latest buy-side firm to sign up to use the tool ahead of MiFID II.

Pictet Asset Management has become the latest buy-side firm to implement a research payment service provided by Commcise.

CommciseBUY has been implemented across the business globally and allows portfolio managers, analysts and managers at Pictet to evaluate broker research.

Pictet is now sending data to Commcise on research it has interacted with in order to validate research payments to EU authorities.

Global head of trading at Pictet Asset Management, Ed Atkins, explained the firm now has a “sophisticated and granular approach to monitoring research commissions, to support all our traders’ and management needs”.

Earlier this month Nordea Asset Management implemented the same research payment service ahead of MiFID II.

Amrish Ganatra, CEO at Commcise, explained the firm has become a key partner for Nordea Asset Management in their commission management and research evaluation process.
