Sigma Capital Partners MENA has selected multi-asset trading technology provider TRAFiX, to support the build out of its institutional brokerage offering.
Specifically, the move will see Sigma Capital Partners leveraging TRAFiX’s OMS, to expand its institutional brokerage capabilities across the MENA region and enhance market reach and asset coverage for its clients.
Through this, Sigma Capital Partners will gain access to global equities products, through a single OMS.
Howard Spooner, senior executive officer, Sigma Capital Partners MENA, said: “Our operating model and growth strategy combines experienced execution professionals with sophisticated trading technology and exceptional levels of customer service.
“As our technology partner, TRAFiX gives us the best of all worlds – global market access and connectivity; proven, high performance, multi-asset execution capabilities and a highly responsive, relationship-led approach.”

The firm operates from the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and is also regulated by Dubai Financial Services Authority (DIFC).
Meanwhile, TRAFiX’s OMS and connectivity network spans more than 400 clients across the world, and aims to connect firms with execution venues, clearing firms and third-party providers.
“Clients need more than technology alone; they need a partner that responds quickly, works closely with them and is agile as their business develops,” added Michael Ottrando, managing director and global head of sales at TRAFiX.
“This collaboration gives Sigma Capital Partners a flexible, scalable platform from which to broaden its offering, while further strengthening TRAFiX’s presence in the Middle East.”
