Xenomorph, a trading technology provider, has released TimeScape Version 3.1, the latest iteration of its data management system, adding event services and tick capture services to its suite of functions.

An extension to Xenomorph's real-time data management capabilities, TimeScape event services enable real-time subscriptions to be made to major market data feeds in a vendor-neutral way, the firm says.

TimeScape tick capture services build upon event services, allowing risk managers, traders and technologists to configure how real-time events are to be controlled and captured within TimeScape's database architecture for high-volume tick data storage.

The upgrades will be a vital weapon in the trading arsenal, and are in response to calls for even more power and control in real-time trading and risk management environments, according to Brian Sentance, CEO at Xenomorph.

"Given the current uptake in algorithmic and automated trading, it is crucial that risk managers and traders are given the high performance tools necessary to make it easy to manage and analyse real-time data," he says. "TimeScape 3.1 will make a great contribution to increasing transparency of this data and real-time trading across organisations."
