Kepler Cheuvreux has built out its KCx team, appointing John Meyers as a high touch sales trader.
London-based Meyer is set to join the firm in September, and brings more than two decades of sell-side sales trading experience to his new role, where he will support the build out of Kepler Cheuvreux’s execution strategy.
Speaking to The TRADE, Chris McConville, global head of execution services and trading at Kepler Cheuvreux, said: “We’re delighted to welcome John Meyers to our firm. Based in our London office, he’ll play a key role in supporting our North American clients, and in accelerating growth in the region.
“Reporting to Oliver Mudie in London, Meyers will work in our high touch sales trading team and brings over 20 years of experience, underscoring the importance of the US to our broader KCx strategy.”
He joins the European firm from Investec, where he spent just under a year as an international sales trader.
Prior to this, he also held the same position at Peel Hunt, where he worked for 10 years.
Previously in his career, Meyers has worked across various senior roles in international equity sales trading at firms including Societe Generale, Numis Securities and Morgan Stanley.
Meyers’ appointment follows an influx of high touch sales trading hires for Kepler Cheuvreux since the beginning of 2026.
Most recently, Leam Conley joined the firm from AXA Investment Managers in May, where he spent nearly seven years.
Similarly, Sidonie Vasseur was also hired as a trader on Kepler Cheuvreux’s Paris-based high touch desk in April, after a four-year tenure at UBS where she served as a cross-asset execution trader.
