Ripple had entered a strategic partnership with Robinhood, in a move to expand institutional access to Ripple’s stablecoin, institutional markets and treasury management infrastructure.

The collaboration will establish Ripple USD (RLUSD) as a key stablecoin across Robinhood’s digital asset ecosystem and will allow the firm to leverage RLUSD on the XRPL for institutional settlement.
“What makes our partnership with Robinhood so exciting is the breadth of what we’re building together,” said Monica Long, president at Ripple.
“From bringing RLUSD to institutional markets to helping Robinhood manage its own treasury operations, this partnership reflects growing institutional demand for integrated solutions that support both customer-facing offerings and core financial operations.”

The collaboration also extends further than stablecoins and will enable Robinhood to integrate Ripple Treasury into its global treasury operations, with the aim of modernising and automating the solutions, such as within cash and liquidity management, cash flow forecasting and risk management.
Moreover, the two firms will also extend the partnership through Ripple Prime, to bolster ongoing financing, liquidity and market access.
“Utility is what moves stablecoins forward. Working with Ripple, Bitstamp and Robinhood will have access to RLUSD for institutional settlement, Ripple Treasury for our operations, and Ripple Prime for financing,” said Johann Kerbrat, SVP and GM of Robinhood Crypto and International.
Earlier this month, Ripple Prime went live with a new offering to enhance institutional access to real-world asset (RWA) perpetual swaps.
The expansion is set to provide continuous exposure to markets historically limited to fixed trading windows, as the gap between traditional and digital assets is increasingly bridged across financial markets.
