Citihub extends footprint with Swiss office

Financial technology advisory firm Citihub has opened a new office in Zurich, Switzerland, headed by partner Ian O’Hara.

Financial technology advisory firm Citihub has opened a new office in Zurich, Switzerland, headed by partner Ian O’Hara.

Founded in 1998, the firm already provides services and support to clients in key financial centres around the globe with offices in London, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore and Toronto.

Citihub said the new office would serve existing clients, while also bringing the firm’s IT expertise in banking, capital markets, wealth management and insurance to the Swiss market.

“Zurich is a financial hub with global reach and significance, and we are seeing significant demand for our services in the region. We already have a number of clients that are headquartered in the city, so it was a natural evolution to open a local office,” said O’Hara.

In addition to O’Hara and three associates currently employed in the Zurich office, associate partner Phillip McMahon – a former head of information security at Barclays – has re-located to the Swiss financial capital.

The firm expects the new office, which is being staffed locally, to “expand significantly over the coming years”.
