Deutsche Börse has launched round-the-clock trading for DAX 40 equities, with off-hours execution on the regulated MTF segment of its affiliated entity, 360X.

Specifically, 360X will run request-for-quote (RfQ) execution overnight and over the weekend.
The group has confirmed that Xetra will continue to operate during core European market hours, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm CET, while its extended retail service on T7 runs Monday to Friday from 8am to 10pm CET.
Together, the two venues allow clients to trade euro-settled DAX 40 equities outside regular exchange hours.
Eric Leupold, head of cash market at Deutsche Börse, said: “Deutsche Börse aims to be the first European financial market infrastructure to enable a 24/7 offering of traditional blue-chip equities.”

Under the dual offering, standard DAX 40 instruments are traded only through 360X’s RfQ module during off-hours, and core Xetra processes are unchanged.
Standard auction cycles will continue, and off-hours closing prices on 360X will not set opening prices or affect opening auctions on Xetra.
Carlo Kölzer, head of digital and FX at Deutsche Börse and co-chief executive of 360X, added: “By enabling the DAX 40 constituents on 360X, we are safely bridging deep, regulated liquidity pools with the flexibility of round-the-clock availability, ensuring our clients can manage risk whenever global markets move; all while preserving the absolute integrity of the core Xetra benchmark cycles.”
Existing Deutsche Börse clients can activate 360X through an administrative process in the Deutsche Börse member section and all trades settle bilaterally into their Clearstream accounts.
