Former FCA executive joins market surveillance firm

Victoria Raffé will support RegTech firm Sybenetix as a non-executive director.

The former director of authorisation at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has joined a market surveillance technology firm as a non-executive director.

Victoria Raffé will support Sybenetix’s expansion of its RegTech and business performance services as a board member.

She has 20 years experience with the FCA at executive committee level and is a non-executive director at several other financial institutions including Starling Bank and Growth Street.

Commenting on her new role, Raffé explained the ability of RegTech to improve regulatory effectiveness is important for financial services.

“We’ve seen the FCA state they’ll encourage further RegTech innovation in their latest business plan.  Regulators around the world are looking to adopt more RegTech solutions themselves,” she added.
