By integrating TOMS, GF Securities HK will be able to enhance its bond market making workflows through electronification, by enabling connectivity to international liquidity pools and trading venues.
The offering is expected to allow GF Securities HK to execute trades with offshore buy-side firms, as well as gain access to consistent high-quality data, to support multi-asset position management and robust risk monitoring.
“We continue to see strong demand from Chinese securities firms for solutions that support scalable, electronic market making,” said Phil McCabe, global head of sell-side solutions at Bloomberg.
“TOMS is built to support this shift by helping sell-side firms like GF Securities HK automate workflows and scale their market making operations with agility as they grow offshore.”

Bloomberg’s TOMS forms part of the firm’s sell-side solutions product suite, which aims to provide market connectivity and trading tools to support electronic workflows and streamline front-office risk and trading with middle-office, operations and enterprise applications.
“We remain committed to enhancing trading capabilities across multiple asset classes through a single, efficient workflow,” said Chao Zeng, chief executive at GF Holdings (Hong Kong) Corporation Limited.
“Bloomberg’s TOMS provides the automated workflows we need to deliver superior liquidity and maintain operational excellence.”
Workflow enhancements have been a core focus for Bloomberg over the last few months.
In March 2025, the firm enhanced its existing real-time news feeds offerings by adding customisable capabilities to deliver machine-readable news.
The new offerings, which are powered by ‘tickerised’ versions of the previous news feeds, are expected to allow clients to personalise their own news content from companies, securities and global macro themes selected by them.
