London Stock Exchange Group (LSE) has announced that Doug Webb has agreed to join the company as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He is expected to join the LSE board as an executive director in May this year.

Webb is currently CFO at QinetiQ Group and one of its two executive directors. He played a key role in QinetiQ’s successful IPO two years ago.

Webb’s experience spans 25 years and includes a number of senior finance and operational roles. Prior to QinetiQ, where he will have been for five years, Webb spent eight years working for Logica (now LogicaCMG), latterly as regional finance director for Continental Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Webb’s time at Logica also included six years in its US subsidiary holding various roles including CFO, executive vice president, telecoms division and COO. Before Logica, he spent 12 years with Price Waterhouse (now PwC).

Chris Gibson-Smith, chairman, LSE comments: “Webb brings with him a wealth of financial, operational and international experience, gained during a career working in senior positions for large multinational organisations. We believe that he will be a real asset to the LSE, ensuring that it continues its record of financial leadership.”
